For Chinese students who write the Gaokao and then want to study abroad, it means writing other entrance exams like SAT, etc. This also results in many of them having to spend a gap year to write these exams.
Thankfully more and more colleges/universities around the world are beginning to accept the Gaokao scores.
Some of the U.S. Universities that are reported to be accepting Gaokao scores are The University of New Hampshire and the University of North Texas .
This is definitely a good development for Chinese students.
