MBBS in the UK is referred to as the equivalent of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery which is called MB ChB or MB BCh at some UK Universities. The duration of MBBS in the UK is 5-6 years. Most of the British medicine courses comprise a six to twelve-week elective period in which students get an opportunity to study outside their home medical university.
